A lot of things surprised me about this chapter in the way that we do peer editing. When I did peer editing in high school it was usually with a friend and we just checked for spelling. But in the book when you do peer editing you are trying to help the person who is writing the essay because in the end but people are trying to get the best grade they possibly can get.

100% agreed in high school peer editing was made into a joke and you always picked your friends and just goofed off. In the book however it shows how important and helpful peer editing is

Peer editing and peer revising was also surprising to me and that’s true in high school it was just about grammatical errors.

Peer editing was also a big surprise to me! In high school I was taught to only look for grammatical errors, when really I should’ve been getting and giving feedback on the context of ones paper!
